We prefer to use recycling routes over landfill. All types of gas cylinders are recyclable. Therefore, along with our business partners, we use recycling routes to deal with them. Our UK national service covers the collection and recycling of gas cylinders whether they are partly used or empty. Our disposal and recycling service complies with the hazardous waste regulations. Gas cylinders are classed as hazardous waste because of the type of content and being pressurised containers. They must be segregated from your general waste stream for specialist collection and recycling. Empty or used gas cylinders should all be treated in the same way. Once empty they are de-pressurised. The valves are then removed from the cylinders, the valves and the cylinders are then sent away for recycling.
